MY APPROACH✦ assigning colors to scenes where characters have more influence:a. BLUE = maura (picking up tommy, beginning the fight)
b. PINK = tommy (party, outburst during the fight)
c. ORANGE = josie (dating and ending)✦ gradually moving in a gradient from one primary color to another, showing a shift in dynamic:EX: Tommy and Josie starting to date (shifting from solitary pink to blossoming orange)EX: Maura picking Tommy up then starting an argument, until the climax when Tommy finally takes a stand (somber blues moving into bright, tense, vivid pink)EX: Maura begins to let go of Tommy and Josie is there to be with her (conflicted purple shifting to warm orange)✦ playing with values and saturation:a. party scenes (dull) -> meeting Josie (more saturated, more vibrant)
b. fight progressively becomes more and more saturated, mirroring rising tensions
